In the Fall of 2005, a task force was formed to create the Jefferson County, Alabama Criminal Court Mediation Project. Just as the Project currently operates in the in the Jefferson County Civil District Court, this program would coordinate volunteer mediators with each participating Jefferson County Criminal Circuit Judge's docket to make mediation services available, at no cost, to victims of crime and their offenders. V. Michelle Obradovic, Esq., is the Director of the Project.
